Servicing the Software Industry—7 New Rules for Software Business (As published in the Graziadio Business Report)
There is something abuzz in the software industry and this time it is not coming from a new hotshot start-up or being propagated by a massive marketing campaign. The buzz is coming from customers and developers alike and it is called Software as a Service, or SaaS for short.

I wrote this paper for my final when I was in France studying as part of my MBA program. I provide an analysis of two different retail strategies by comparing Carrefour (private label dominant) and Walmart (brand name dominant).

The article was a culmination of several classes and real world projects where I saw the scope of marketing expand beyond the traditional foundations of marketing. With brands and marketing becoming ever more important for generating company value, I attempt to provide a new architecture for senior management to follow when thinking about marketing's purpose and function.

Cost Based Pricing Versus Value Based Pricing—April 2005
This was a mid-term exam written with a fellow MBA student. We compared the two pricing strategies and used Apple as a case study. Nagle and Holden's book The Strategy and Tactics of Pricing was a lead reference for this paper.

China's Currency & Banking System—November 2004
This was a class paper written with a fellow MBA student. We conducted an analysis of China's currency and banking system including both historical issues and future scenarios from a macroeconomic viewpoint.

Analyzing the Need for Lawyers—February 2004
I wrote this as a term paper for one of my business law classes while getting my MBA. The professor was one of my favorites and we often engaged in some fun bantering. The general premise of the paper was to show why we don't need attorneys and why they have become a bane to society (sic).

Openness to Trade and Its Economic Impact—July 2003
I wrote this paper for one of my economics classes while getting my MBA. I analyze the impact of openness to trade on GDP growth by comparing South Korea and Vietnam.

Ethics:TNT—Graziadio Business Ethics Forum—2004-2006
I was one of the founders and for a time the managing editor of this forum at Pepperdune University. There are numerous articles I either wrote or contributed to on the forum's website.
